Hello we have taken off the old seal and the dimensions are 72mm x 40mm x 10mm we only got a 72x40x8 mm seal but this should do.
we asked the mercedes technical department in the u.k and they emailed me back to say they did not know the size of their own parts :!: :!: :lol: :lol:

Many thanks for all the help, tomorrow we take off the prop shaft and the flange and measure the seal dimensions, it is probably the only seals i do not carry on my sprinter

we need the outside dimensions and the inside dimensions and the thickness, the 6cm x 6cm x 1 cm does not make sense to us

Hello we have found the knocking sound.
it is the right hand side anti roll bushes we have taken it off and wrapped some electrical tape around the bar
and put the worn bushes back on
now no knocking sound :D :D

hello the breather pipe for my transfer box leaked gear oil yesterday, not sure why. checked and the level is fine.
no burning smell or overheating and i have not used it in 4x4 mode for weeks. this has now hapened twice. a mercedes garage say they are not sure why this is hapening.
please help as ...
