vor dem hintergrund habt ihr natürlich beide recht. das hatte ich jetzt nicht auf dem schirm und mehr meine dpf-halter im hinterkopf.

I have been following this thread in the past and after revisiting it I wonder, has there been any further updates on this subject as the last post was May 2022, I wonder why?
I see that a lot of the issues seem to relate to the 907 with the OM651 engine which is of course the RWD version, there is no mention of the 910 which is the FWD version with the same OM651 engine, is this because being FWD the physical configuration is different and therefore does not suffer from this condensation issue.

the problems discussed here are mostly about the OM642 3l / V6 engine. Sadly, there are no updates. The same with the EGR Valve problem if you haven't seen this yet: viewtopic.php?t=24078
But since the OM642 is no longer installed in the Sprinter (since some time in 2021), Mercedes seems to have no more interest in solving those problems - not that they had much enthusiasm in the first place when the Sprinter with the OM642 was still being sold

Hallo,
passt zwar nicht ganz zum Thema aber ich hätte eine Frage.
Weiß jemand, wenn die Steuerkette gerissen ist nach 5 jahren im Sprinter W907 316.
Was wird da bei MB unter der Teilenummer alles getauscht, nur der Block, Block mit Zylinderkopf oder kompletter Motor mit Turbo AGR etc.
