it is possible to use the VAG-COM system to diagnose engine and immobilizer. I need to know the pin numbers of earth connection, K-line and positive battery. In OBD-connector in the picture above they are 4,7 and 16.

With interface, (working with VAG-COM) connect like this:

VW (obd) MB (LT)
4 (earth) 1 (KL 31)
7 (K-line) 14 (motorsteuer) (4) (wegfahrs)
16 (battery +) 3 (KL 30)

With this I cleared the faultcodes from engine and immobilizer with VAG-COM just fine. You may have to connect MB pin 4 (immo) to the pin 7 also, but I didn't have to. I could diagnose immo without pin 4 just fine.
