Who makes the gearbox?

Is it the same ZF as in BMW, or is it a new version of the 6-speed Nissin made one?

The old Touareg V10 TDI had the Nissin box, and it’s a catastrophe. The old Phaton V10 TDI had the 6-speed version of the ZF box, and it’s super sweet.

Here in Denmark is it possible to order a van, specified it with the same equipment as a kombi, and then get a “PKW Zulassung” from the importer.

I have just done that. And will get my new 319 in a few weeks.

But be aware its not cheap.

I have had a similar problem on my 216 from 2000.
It fired right up, with no problem. But after a few kilometres there was no power.
The reading on the diagnostics didn't make any sense at all.

The problem was a very small insignificant vacuum-tube from the turbo to a pressure ...

This bloke have done a great job, keeping the car in “as new” condition. Despite 360.000 km

Because you can!! Is then the answer.

It’s about chrome key for a NCV3.

There is a lot for sale on E-bay, and they seem to cover a wide range of models. But which one will work with a NCV3?

As mechanical engineer by trade I just love the look and function of the AMF lift. There is this “yes this feel good” factor over it, a little like a Leica M6. :wink:
